Level 1
Senior Day??? It's a f&@kin' joke in today's CFB environment with NIL, transfer portals, red-shirts
....COVD year extensions, etc. Doesn't mean anything like in years past. The only thing "Senior Day" does at ND is give an extra advantage to the opposing team. ND home game weekends are enough distraction for the team with the Disney-like atmosphere the university exhibits let alone all the B.S. that's played up for Senior Day. If I'm MF, I'd have the team leaving Friday morning to stay in Elkhart or some other place (100+ miles away would suffice) and not return to campus until right before kick off!

Level 3
I am not "unfortunately" - I'm an Ivy-League snob. However, my son is an ND alum and I have been to
and observed enough ND "Senior Day" games over the past 40+ years, to say that in terms of on the field performance or lack thereof, drives me to the conclusion that these games and all of the hoopla that goes with it is a distraction!

Level 1
Holtz always hated that day. Parents crying, girl friends crying and players crying just prior to
the kickoff.

Level 2
Nice tradition if the game doesn’t matter. Horrible idea if it does.
Just asking for a problem. Do something the night before maybe.

Level 2
Holtz also had to face ranked teams on senior day.
#17 BC (1993), #22 PSU (1992), #13 Tennessee (1991), #18 PSU (1990).
Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame
Invincibility with no vulnerability
