Todd "Marijuanavich" Marinovich was having a really good game against us, and after making a nice play, started happily celebrating, while bumping into Scott Kowalkowski and taunting him.
Yeah, not a good idea... First, it pissed off every defender, and you could see Jeff Alm getting some payback later.
Second, it drew the wrath of Scott Kowalkowski. He's normally a very quiet guy, and simply played the game at a high level.
Kowalkowski wasn't the biggest or fastest linebacker out there, but he was definitely one of the smartest guys out there, in addition to being one hell of a hard hitter. The man was flat-out a damned good player who also had a 10 year career in the NFL.
On that last drive, he utterly crushed Marinovich from the blind side, and Marinovich's shoulder and arm were wrecked to the point where he could only manage a wounded duck on the final play.
He almost got Marinovich on that final play, and had Pothead Boy held onto the ball for literally one more second, would have taken an even bigger hit.
The only time a QB ever got hit harder by him was that idiot Purdue QB, Eric Hunter, who had trash talked him, and ended up with a shoulder pad to the chinstrap.
