Joe Montana, Rocket. and Rick Watters head a long list of PA guys who played at ND. Are they and the
many ND fans in Pennsylvania "Shanty Irish" trash too? Ned Bolcar is a Jersey Boy whose family (and mine) has coal miner roots in PA.

I went to school in NJ...my youngest son is an ND grad (2012 Class)
....my "obession" as you call it is I do live and was raised among them. In the late 60's & 70's, Ped State was on par with the likes of a Syracuse, Boston College, etc. However, I was fortunate to haved lived & worked in NYC when I got out of school early 80's. Upon my return to NEPA in 1987, I came to realize how obnoxious and dismissive their fans were/are of other programs, especially ND....

Just roll with it. Why get so hot and bothered especially when you aren’t even a grad?

I have found UGA fans to be pretty classy generally…

I would agree....and
returning from dinner afterwards, we ran into a Ga. couple and I told them how much respect I had for Ga. fans after having attended the Ga. game in 2017. They were respectful and quite glad to have the experience of seeing ND, especially on game day.
