Special Teams didn't win the game, but it certainly didn't lose it. That FG call almost paid off

They weren't converting 4th and goal from that far out. The defense finally started to get stops.

3rd and 11 conversion will go down in infamy like the 4th and 9 Jarrett reception that made the Bush push possible. If we'd been down 5 and gotten that stop, our momentum was significant and it would have been a ballgame, especially if the Irish were only down 5 instead of 8.

If I remember correctly, the fake FG was catchable? Going for the FG is & was a head scrtatcher.
