This is only Shrewsberry's 2nd season in South Bend, and his best player was out for the entire month of December. His first real recruiting effort has produced a top-5 ranked incoming class for next season. You might want to actually give the guy a chance to prove himself. Next season should provide a much better sense of what he can do with the program.
A lot of the team left after he took over for Brey, and he had to work with what he had on hand.
I agree, that the future looks brighter, especially since he's bringing in better talent, which is why I'm willing to give him mulligans for these first two seasons.
Yes, he is in a rebuild, but his kids don't play hard. Even if he recruits, if the kids don't play hard - it wont matter.
So we should abolish all sports that are struggling?
