Are Spring games soon to be going the way of the Dodo bird?
Texas has now cancelled theirs because of the long 2024 schedule. Others have made modifications. Of course, I wonder how this will affect ND's Blue/Gold game in years to come if they continue to make long runs in the playoffs.

There's another issue for some: It's a showcase for poaching.
The portal window is right after spring ball. Programs watch these games looking for talent in the 2nd/3rd string, and then start enticing these guys. Coaches want to eliminate that opportunity.
