For reference, Freeman is 5-5 vs Top Ten
And I would argue that he really shouldn't be tagged with the 'L' for his first game against Oklahoma State as he was an interim coach at the time....though we had that game in hand and should have won.

Lots of young talent playing early
To me, that shows that the players that he brought in are helping elevate the program, instead of simply holding the line.
Not only is the young talent playing early, they're playing quite well.
The fact that we could plug in an undersized true freshman 3 star player at left tackle, along with another 3 star player at boundary cornerback, and have them perform decently (outstandingly in the case of Leonard Moore), gives me that much more confidence in Coach Freeman.

Yes he was HC...time to prepare highly debatable. For reference BK had more time but bowed out of
LSU's bowl game since he didn't have time to prepare.
