The Calvary is not coming to save our kicking game. What we have is what we have.

No additions allowed to the roster . So, here we are, an embarrassing situation at an elite playoff contender, similar to what many High Schools have. There was yet more competition at the position limited to two days. Sports phycologists have been brought in. It sounds like it's in the head with all three if anyone can believe that. I would hope that Denbrock and MF have a whole trunk full of 2 point plays at their disposal, not including Wildcat direct snap to J Love. As a fan, I'm of the opinion one failed kick and it's going to be 2 point tries the rest of the way. And, as far as FGs go, we just going to go for it instead? If these kickers can't make Extra Point tries and makable FGs then they have no business playing college football at any level. This BS is putting the Irish at an unnecessary disadvantage for no reason. As a fan, I'm pretty pissed off about this.

I'm reasonably certain that a nutless monkey could kick a PAT, and FGs within 25 yds.

We’ll probably never have another Yoon

How can we possibly get another "Yoon"...when we seemingly can't even get a nutless monkey?

and admire Tyler Buchner but it seems whenever he is involved bad things seem to happen. I don't really believe that, but geez he dropped the one and nothing has gone right since. Are the snaps and holds good?

That’s really the question. Let’s hope MF is thinking about this.

that it has been inconsistent enough that the kickers are not sure if the ball is always going to be where it should be.

It explains why ALL the kickers are struggling to even do the basic extra point. Buchner dropped the snap early in the season and he may be not precise enough. They probably put him in the position to allow for a fake, so I don't blame him as much as I think it may be time to get a holder who has an affinity for holding, rather than an affinity for a fake.

Just my outside the team musings.

11 on 15 defenders.

Run it until you can do it.

Then crush the opponent during the game when it is merely 11 on 11.

Not trying to be a killjoy, but let's be honest: the season ends exactly the same way it always does -- with an L, either during the season or in the postseason.

Of course, I prefer the day of reckoning be postponed as long as possible, but regardless, the "when" doesn't bother me much.
