Level 1
I've never seen a faster fall from grace than Aeneas Williams. What has happened?
(no message)-
Level 2
He wasn't ever going to be a RB1 like Love or Price
He has performed well but when you consider he was never more than RB2, those who thought he was more than that were bound to be disappointed.
This was his first year as a possible RB1. And although he is a valuable player because he does a lot of things well but other than being really good as a receiver and good on 3rd down, he isn't ever going to be the guy at RB.
James and Walton are more instinctual runners who move quickly through the hole.

Level 2
Other backs are getting reps and gaining the confidence of the staff
Overall, it's a good problem to have but if someone else is getting more carries, that means someone else isn't
I was happy to see Javian Osborn participate in a drive and finish it with his own TD.

Level 2
Williams had a good game
His pass blocking was very good, and that 70 yard TD reception was a thing of beauty.
-
Level 3
He is an excellent 3rd down back. Receiver outbid the backfield
And and split out. Pass pro is great
To me he is not a 3 down back.

Level 3
Good one
I don't bear any ill will towards Aeneas Williams, even though he delivered the crushing blow that sent Steve Young into retirement.
I put the blame on the departed Lawrence Phillips for whiffing / Ole'ing Williams on that block, and not even caring. That, plus some blame on Bill Walsh for signing him in the first place.
