It will be interesting if an undefeated Big12 team would be ranked ahead of them in the playoffs,
as has happened in the past - or if the committee has just decided to eliminate the win-loss record and rank based on merit.

It is a matter of fact that Bama lost at home.
They had plenty of chances to win the game.
SEC teams are shown favoritism in the rankings.The disdain is not conspiracy. It is fact.

Close loss to the now #1 team
That, plus all of the love that the pollsters have for the SEC, it's not surprising at all.
The officiating was terrible in that game, but in the end, the refs missed a blatant PI call that legitimately screwed over the Tide.
