In fact, they were told to keep their helmets on as they left the field.
It's not fun to get hit in the head by a large can of beer.

Wow. Haven't heard that one.
ND students were throwing at the NBC endzone cameraman, ushers, our own cheerleaders, and our own players sideline. It was a scene man. One crazy scene. My seats were first row by Sophomores and had a birds eye view of this craziness every Senior Day for years. Since it was the last home game and cold, I wore a heavier hooded coat which came in handy against the onslaught. LOL. I wonder if we have any ND grads here from the 60s or 70s. Was that going on back then?
