Did you know that Rudy converted to the LDS?
He was baptized a Mormon in January, 2017.
Will our Irish legend, Rudy, be cheering for the other side on Saturday?
O tempora, o mores!

When the movie came out he was a staple at Corby’s, flirting with the undergrads.
Warning, ND students:
When an old guy with a white shirt and black tie comes to your dorm room and says: "Hello, I'm elder Rudy..."
Slam the door! 😉
...I suspect that his loyalties are still with the Golden Dome.
After all, his incredible story was because of Notre Dame, and unless the university did something to him that made him disillusioned, he still has a love for the place, and especially the football program that made him famous.
A ND alum can still love the University of Notre Dame du Lac, even if he is not a Catholic.
Both were fantastic. Great stories and lots of humor. Both took their time with each guest answering questions and taking photos. This was just before Rudy's conversion. He didn't know our school. Had no connections but he came. His personal business is his personal business. And, you want to meet and chat up a humble terrific human being and ambassador for ND? Allen is the guy.
He was the BMOC during my undergrad days, loved by all. I happened to run into him one day at the old bookstore. Yes, there I was, just a normal schlep perusing the goods, when I notice ALLEN PINKETT there next to me. So I struck up a conversation. I am nobody and he is ALLEN PINKETT!! I was nervous as hell and he could not have been more gracious and funny and warm. I was already a huge fan but left that encounter absolutely thrilled. I told all the dudes in my dorm - it made my day, my week my year.
All class, Allen Pinkett.
The story in the link is just perfect and is a great example of who Allen is. Also a nice Emil reference.
