Beat Miami! That's all we've got to do!

ND gets in automatically if we finish in the Top 12. But can ND finish in the Top 8 for a playoff home field game with 11-1 record and a win over Miami? Note that Miami's schedule is also lame.
People will be screaming bloody murder again about ND's strength of schedule against 2 loss SEC teams like Bama.
What hurts ND is its coupling with an ACC in which Florida State, Clemson and VA Tech have fallen off the table as top tier programs. The conference itself gets no respect.
BYU was the most important game on the schedule to win.
We have the same problem was had last year. The Big 10 and SEC there will likely get at least 8 slots. That leaves 4 slots.
BYU and TT don't play each other and both are unlikely to have more than one loss. BYU will always be ahead of us. Since TT looks to go unbeaten (BYU and TT don't play each other) that is 2 teams ahead of us.
That leaves 2 slots.
If Utah beats BYU and wins the rest of its games, we would likely be behind all three of the Big 12 teams.
That leaves one slot and I doubt the committee will leave the ACC out even if we beat both Miami and SMU.
We have to pray we get ranked at least 12 because we have no friends in the room as we learned last year.
is not our fault. frigging 3-5? FSU put up 40 ish on the Canes...
BYU is a solid team, they may win the Big XII
They may go Playoff. one game at a time for the IRISH. So far, great season.... LFG ND
Hate to admit that Herbstreit might have been right. He said ND schedule was soft.
