Early Sunday, the conference said the replay crew wrongly cleared the play, and it promised a full review of its end-of-game process before next week's games. The ruling also comes amid questions about a possible pass interference call against BYU.

The Irish put the ball in quarterback CJ Carr’s hands with the game on the line.

Carr rolled right and threw a contested ball to wide receiver Jaden Greathouse. But BYU cornerback Evan Johnson was draped all over Greathouse, who was unable to make the grab.

Still...no excuses for that debacle.
