Posted as a reply below. Worth a rehash. Truth be told, BYU had a "want to" in them, we did not.

We were out coached and out played. There was a talent gap and we controlled that or we would have been blown out because they controlled most of the game. Regardless what the yards and time of possession say.

This proves the talent gap is clearly not enough.

It takes coaching with fire, for a purpose, and players who play with demon possessed emotion and reckless abondon. That's the momentum you win with in college football.

Sure, there is fire and purpose in the locker room. But this year, it doesn't look like the other top 10 big time matchup teams. We are much more reserved in a relative sense.

Though NDs talent is possibly at the highest it has ever been. Some of the best in the country, and things are pointing up in a very good way. We have very few demon possessed, play with your hair-on-fire, infectious personalities on the team. KVA, might be the only player who qualifies.

In tight games, in top 10 type match ups, this is the type of charater trait that separates the winners from the losers. So far, we have proven... to still be on the wrong side of this divide. It's the hole notion of "the bad guy always gets the girls."
