Would Ash and Denbrock do better in the press box instead of on the sideline?
I get that they have iPads now, but aren't most coordinators upstairs now during games?

Our "elite" defense is not good enough against highly ranked teams under Ash. In those three games, our D has given up 30 pts average per game and 395 yards total "O" per game. In all three games, the Ash "D" gives up drives that a stop would have either won or given our offense a chance to win. Credit to IB for the stats. MF has to be aware of this.
But anecdotally I’ve also thought coordinators are better in the booth. Easier to see the field. Less “panic” in the booth than on the field. You can have more data at your disposal.
You can put them both in the booth and it may or may not help. The root of the issue is we seem to default to schemes that do not fit our personnel and bull-headed determination to run plays and schemes that do not work (let’s run the fade for the 20th time). Marcus doesn’t have to be a jerk, but he has to insist on success. He mentions execution but he also needs to be saying it starts with coaches. This shouldn’t be happening in year 5. He built this team up as being his best but it hasn’t lived up to its billing. I’m more of a wait until the end of season type of person to evaluate staff, but this is tiring.
Marcus maybe should have brought in a graybeard offensive genius for a consult over the bye week. Integrating the TE into the passing game would have been one solid recommendation.
that could make additional observations that the coaches may have missed. I say DO IT. They can always return to the sidelines if it doesn't work out.
