The popups on here are awful.

I'm working with the provider to try and dial them back to a more acceptable level.
I'm sorry they suck, but they pay for the site. The alternative is we don't exist, and you find somewhere else to post. Not everyone will see the same ads. I've asked a couple times for people to send over screenshots when they see annoying ones. I haven't received any. If you send me screenshots, I can request to have those specific advertisers blocked. Send to Kyle at uhnd dot com.
I also asked if anyone would be willing to pay for an ad-free mobile app last month, and received 0 replies. 10 users signing up at $2.50/mo ain't gonna cover it.

Do these actually pay for the site or are they just an annoyance to the users?
Could we take up a donation to get this bullshit removed?

They are aweful. I don't need a Cell Phone or a T-shirt or a discount on insurance...
great site, HORRIBLE AD spend. Just charge each member $2.50/month, whatever...

This site isn't too bad IMO, the "other" Notre Dame board is far worse
I don't find the popups here that bad. Usually just sitting at the bottom of my phone screen and I can dismiss with a simple click.
But over on ND Nation, that site is nearly impossible to even use/browse via mobile. Constantly auto-refreshing when you try to scroll down through the discussion list, random lockups, and crazy mega huge ads that take over an entire thread.

Re: You must have a good blocker. I have to shut them down several times in a row.
I don't have any popup blockers on my phone, just a standard iphone using safari web browser
On my laptop, I use chrome with adblock extension; which helps a ton with blocking popups and ads.
