This post is so...suboptimal.... on so many levels that I don't have the energy to even begin to tear it down. Use your own intellect - you are a smart guy.
Don't try to justify it, just think about how many things are wrong with this post.
he says one of the reasons ND TEs do so well in the NFL is because they are very good blockers.
You are being ridiculous.
That's what ND TE'S have been doing exceptionally well for the past 55 years.
That makes zero sense.
Whatever our coaches do, you want them to do something else.
You know more than they do? Get yourself a Top Ten HC job. Should be easy with your expertise!
...and the fact that two of our starting TE's and one back up have been dealing with injuries can't be used to cut some slack even if there are other weapons on this team that work just as well.
TE blocking doesn't count because he only watches the catches. Runners breaking big runs because the TE pinned his man w a block can't count.
Protecting our special QB that we cannot afford to get injured can't count nor can the fact that partly because of those TE's, ND has not given up a sack all year after 8 games.
Factoring in that our best pass catching TE who is healthy is a freshman being just worked in to his second real game can't be considered either.
"TE U" must matter above all else - even winning big apparently.
