"We can't panic and start calling stuff the players don't know how to execute."

Those are direct shots at Ash.
His future at ND is on the line next week.
Invincibility with no vulnerability

I just took it they didn't need to come up with different schemes.
The first half defensive scheme was childish.
ever witnessed and I'm 68. Candidly, I'm relieved by the words that came out of Marcus Freeman's mouth regarding the D. Here are a few words that came out of my mouth while watching the defensive struggles. Note that they don't include any of the curse words I mumbled under my breath: lost, slow, confused, disengaged, careless, dumfounded, passionless. Please feel free to add your own to this list. If I'm Coach MF, Coach Ass, errr, I mean Ash, had better dang well be on the hot seat. That was a disgrace and I'm usually not this apoplectic when ND doesn't play well. THEN, as if someone flipped a switch, the REAL Irish defense dominated the second half the way MOST people thought they would the entire game. Given that this was a tale of two halves, why didn't one of the sideline reporters grab ASH and ask HIM what he did differently in the second half. I'll tell you what Freeman said to him: 1) clean that mess up FAST or 2) I'm taking over play calling stat. In short, the Chris Ash experiment is over. Sorry, Coach Ash for my rant but your gameplan, if there was one, was terrible. I wish you the best.
Freeman has to either take over or get his hands deeply involved
He should be involved in every meeting, and not sleep a wink.
Offense needs to do what it did 2nd half yesterday.
That’s obvious
