At the end of the day, Pete's a pussy in the same way that Marcus is a pussy. Pete won't play rough in the same way that Marcus won't work the refs or call them out after the game.

5 tops. They’ll use BYU loss as an anchor as necessary to place ND as they like.

The playoff is used as lesson teaching for ND. Not so for the Conference teams.
ND needed to do a lot more last year as, among other things, they were defrauded of some serious $$$.
Turning down the Bowl…was not remotely enough of a response.

Agreed, there's a softness at the highest levels of ND leadership.
I saw all I needed to see during last years flop when everyone else was jockeying for a playoff spot and Pete was sitting on his ass.
