Sounds to me like Cristobal is playing kind of infantile mind games that Kiffin loves.
Toney will play. And he will be at 100%.

As we saw last year, the committee, led by that slime ball Yurachek, doesn't have to be consistent in their reasoning, and can flip flop on the criteria as much as they want until they get the desired result.
That being said, winning out would all but guarantee a spot in the playoffs, since the "Notre Dame" clause is in effect this year. I don't see any way we drop any further if we win out.

I think ND's soft schedule will have a lot more influence on CFP seeding than Toney's injury...
Miami's schedule is even softer. Like I noted earlier, if Miami loses to ND, a good argument can be made for dropping them from the Top 12 altogether.

Injuries will be looked at as a sign of weak depth. However they need to skew it to screw the independent.
