Part of me was wishing that he could make a recover and come back to play football, but given the severity of that neck injury, the more logical part was hoping that he wouldn't take any more risks.

On the bright side, the man will be enrolled at the Harvard Kennedy School, pursuing a master's degree in public relations.

The man continues to fight on, and I'll always be damned proud to call him a fellow alum.
