Edit:
Forgot about Towt. Thanks, Nigel.
ND has 8
These guys have 6:
Georgia
Iowa
These guys have 5:
tOSU
Michigan
Stanford
Oregon
Penn State
Surprisingly, USC doesn't have any.
Trojans with none is surprising, as you say. Stanford with five surprises me a bit. I know they get some good athletes, but why so many top flight TE?
Did their offensive style highlight the position in some way I am missing?

Harbaugh's offense was a run-heavy version of the West Coast Offense, and they would often times use multiple TE sets.
David Shaw kept the same offense in place for most of the time, so all of their TE's got a lot of playing time.
Troy Taylor kept the offense mostly intact, still running the West Coast Offense, but with a bit more of a balanced attack.
I don't know what kind of offense Tavita Pritchard is going to run. It would make sense that he'd run the same offense that he played in under Harbaugh, but according to the boards, it was a universal conclusion that he stunk up the field as Stanford's OC.
Hard to imagine that any school has as many as ND:
Cole Kmet
Eli Raridon
Tommy Tremble
Mitchel Evans
Michael Mayer
Brock Wright
Durham Smythe
....and you could also include Carson Towt who was signed as a TE by the Colts.
