Before training camp even starts.
Couldn't have happened to a bigger asshole.

The CFL is littered with NFL castaways who would destroy him.
I think he could actually thrive in the gimmick offenses of AFL.
or which McDonalds location is he going to flip burgers at.

if you're a football or basketball player. Not to say that there aren't really smart athletes that have gone to those schools, Pavia just isn't one of them.
I wouldn't quite put them in the same category of ND's career placement service, but they have extensive connections with many a big name company.
My godson was a slacker at Vanderbilt, and barely squeaked by with a 2.5 GPA in economics, almost no activities, and couldn't get a decent recommendation from any of his professors. Too much beer chugging, I'm guessing.
He was still able to get an entry level position with BCG (Boston Consulting Group), despite having no familial or friend connections.
No, it wasn't a six figure job right off the bat, but it did give him a foot in the door, and he finally started getting some wisdom. He's still there to this date in a managerial role (and much better pay).

that struggle to put together a coherent sentence. Most recently Pavia and Tyler Nickel from the basketball team. Not very bright dudes, yet both have degrees from Vandy.
Vandy can say anything they want (just like Michigan and UNC) but they are getting athletes who are substandard students, by their claimed standards, thru.
Not all ND players are Saints and Scholars. No need to trash Vandy, a great institution that runs similar to ND, Stanford, and Northwestern when it comes to athletics.
Way to change the topic just to argue about something.
You said verbatim "Much like Purdue...not worth the paper..." There is 0 evidence that is the case, and plenty of evidence otherwise, which I already listed.
I don't think Vandy is really better than ND, even though they rank slightly higher. They're more peer institutions than one clearly over the other. Their athletes get a similar treatment to ND.
ND is unusual but not unique in having elite academics and elite athletics. Vandy suffers from being in the SEC for football, but is a very good school (that US News ranks higher than ND). They also treat athletes pretty similar to ND.
I brought up Wood and Shembo because, you know, rocks in glass houses.
academic performance. You're arguing for the sake of arguing.
