There are commitments to play other teams, also Lincoln Riley doesn’t want to play this year, he
needs to make the playoffs or he’s fired

I agree.
I do not like playing them in warm weather prior to their conference schedule...since this is the reason they scuttled the series in the first place.
(Reality of course is that ND has difficulty now getting marquee matchups once the Conferences have started up play...)
