Chizik inherited a talented team from Tommy Tuberville, stocked with a lot of home grown talent. He still needed a lot of help from the magic mercenary (Cam Newton), and once Newton and Malzahn left, his mediocrity showed.
Cignetti built IU with a lot of transfer portal veterans, and the Indiana team he inherited wasn't very good at all.

I was looking forward to this series
We are one of the two teams who beat Indiana over the last two seasons. I would prefer IU over PU at this point. Glad that USC is back on in 2030. Don’t care when we play them, we just need to win.

I kind of stopped stressing about our schedules since I have no voice in the matter.
I still have full blown anger issues though about the playoff snub, the committee, ESPN / ACC /SEC networks and most of the sports media. When ND scheduled Tenn State, I quit stressing.
Fair enough but if Indiana says something like this I would love to hear an ND response to the

IU is a joke considering it’s a short trip for either school. USC and Texas can make a case for a long extra trip. Some of that is expected but USC made that bed themselves and someone at ND decided the schedule change was needed to get them on the schedule, so be it. We all know travel isn’t the concern. An L for any visiting team is a real possibility now and that 2nd or 3rd or maybe 4th is a potential killer given the playoff size
cignetti is being an ass but I would still love our AD making a courtesy call to inquire just to put them on the spot.
