Will be interesting to see if we try to bring him back.

He would be 3rd or 4th string.

He should go to a program where he can play.

Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame

Chris Ash's defensive scheme thrives best when you have plenty of developed, talented depth at the defensive line, so your starters don't get beaten down.

This becomes even more important as the year progresses, especially for the nose tackle.

This year, we actually have that depth, and when playoff time comes around, it will be nice to have starters who are as close to 100% health as they can be for that time.

In 2024 and 2025, we didn't have that depth, and were frankly, quite fortunate that Howard Cross was one very tough guy (he was only at about 85% strength during the playoffs) who played through a Hell of a lot of pain during the playoffs, and that Donovan Hinish punched way above his weight class in 2025.

Maybe, but maybe 2nd or 3rd. Savvy, experienced at reading plays, great against run, decent pass rush

Definitely a piece to have on the sideline if we are having trouble containing RB's or a mobile QB

Unless someone gets injured, then he's an experienced veteran getting PT.

Don't think he is allowed to transfer unless he entered the portal when it was open.

Can never have too many capable veterans on the roster.

Correct. He can only return to ND

from what I’ve heard, ND is playing it cautiously. He is not with the team until the determination

is final. If the ruling is reversed and his playing ND could have to vacate all wins and monies in games he’s played.

Rule they aren’t eligible in the future and make them ineligible retroactively contrary to this ruling? I can see if it’s overturned in the future they become automatically ineligible

If that’s the case, then no ruling can be acted on until the appeal process is complete regardless of what is decided by earlier decisions?

That’s like something was legal when I did it but in the future a law was passed and make it illegal, so I get retroactively charged for something that was legal at the time I did it.

Think CMF and the admin, which has clearly opened the door to bringing in players that weren't

granted entry before, should greenlight JT's playing and, if he eventually ruled ineligible after games are played, tell the NCAA to **** themselves. Unlike years past where they took whatever punishment the NCAA deemed appropriate and said "thank you".

UNC still has to be laughing their collective a**es off at getting a pass on 20+ years of clear academic fraud and ND getting 20+ wins vacated for catching kids cheating and suspending them immediately.

Spot on Clem. NC v ND inequity still frosts me onions.
