UNC plays at noon from Ireland. They're a 7.5 dog to TCU. ND goes to UNC in early October.

USC is the only ranked team to play this weekend. Body bag game vs. SJSU. Fuck SC.

NC State at UVA is the only P4 conference game.

Somewhat surprising for an opening game. Not sure if the spread reflects Vegas' confidence in Notre Dame or lack of confidence in Wisconsin?????

Would normally have some interest in USC were they a future opponent. Seems odd...but may check out just in case for playoffs...

CJ Bailey at halftime:

6 of 14 for 35 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT. I haven't watched the game, so I don't know if that's on him, or the offensive line.

At least he did run for 28 yards on 7 carries, though, but being down 0-17 at the half is going to test his arm.


I think the only good thing that I can say about this game, is that both punters are doing a very nice job.

Stunning to tune in to the SC, a team thinking they have a chance to win it all, and see a half empty stadium on opening day. Does anyone care? Ever so slowly becoming irrelevant.
