I was thinking the same thing
Was Wisconsin supposed to get the ball there just because it was their turn to have it?
ND was the last to touch it, they had two players within 3 yards of the ball and Wisconsin was no where near it. I don't know what the actual rule is in that situation but it would have been absurd to give Wisconsin the ball there.

I don't know what the actual rule is in that situation but…
Should be in the running for UHND motto.
It would have been upheld whichever way the call was made on the field.
I would have given it to Wisconsin.
