There are no new ads at all in the new format
If anything, there are fewer ads in the new layout at the moment.
You can still click on every single individual post without having to view all.

Moving the "no text" indicator to the left removed a major complaint of mine.
Though I prefer the old style, I've no doubt I could get used to the new format-

I preferred its more dense, compact format (similar to how I have my email client configured). But like I said, I can definitely get used to the new changes with no problem.

Not sure I would use those words...but in no uncertain terms, it is an attempt to fix something that was not broken...and a poor attempt at that. My fondest hope is that the old format is returnable and that the one (s) responsible for its demise are capable of seeing the obvious and initiating the return.
