CJ Carr and the Heisman

As much as I would love to see such a talented and dedicated ND QB win the Heisamn Trophy, I just cannot see his chances being anything but a long shot...for one particular reason. CJ is not a run threat that changes a defense. Not that he can't run...all of us can run...he just is ot going to win games with consistent yardage on the ground...no Riley Leonard.

That said, he can and may prove to be an MVP on a national champion for one reason. He simply can process more things, make adjustments, and avoid errors and bad calls better than anyone else, while still throwing the ball with elite accuracy. But those things, although they are critical and can turn a loss into a win, are things the voters can't see and know...and therefore not valued. If they don't see it, they place no value on those talents.

But coaches and teammates know. We may not as fans, but this fan really values having CJ on the ND roster. Damned the awards, the NC Trophy is all that counts.
