Watching SMU and FSU tonight

If Ashton Daniels is the best QB they could find, develop, or rent, then it shows how badly run the program really is.

Three years ago, they were undefeated in the regular season, but as soon as they lost their QB, they completely fell apart, as the rats abandoned that sinking ship.

I don't think they ever recovered from that.

Still, they're in Florida, they have a ton of resources, a nice location, and a very wealthy donor base. There's no reason why they should be settling for someone like Daniels as a QB.

Four TO’s and they also jumped offside on a 4th down, giving FSU a 1st on a drive they eventually scored a TD on. One especially idiotic attempt to field a punt that was bouncing along the ground, with the predictable results.

If SMU can get by Louisville in a couple of weeks, and holds serve against what looks to be a resurgent UVA, they will likely be a Top 10 team when we play them. I was told the South Bend airport is already sold out of private jet parking spots for that weekend. They’ll be fired up for that one and it will be a test for us.

We truly live in upside down world….counting on SMU to help our schedule.

They had a similar opening opponent as us and needed a last-second field goal to escape with a win. There'd be a full-on meltdown here had we won in such a fashion.

Agree they are a solid team and won't be easy but at same time there were some on here suggesting we'd have no chance against them based on how we played Sunday night so worth noting they were far from midseason form too.

You are not kidding, 575 yards ttotal offense with 430 coming from their quarterback. They are a solid team and we cannot fall asleep against them. To win on the road with 4 turnovers shows they are talented. They clean up things and they can be very tough.
