The RB rotation remains something to watch

Aneyas Williams did not get much going at all yesterday and neither did James or Young to be fair. Walton is really the only back that looked explosive - everyone else looked tentative whether that be because the holes just weren't there or not I'm not sure without seeing the game film.

But Denbrock and the offensive staff need to figure it out in a hurry because BYU is a month away at this point and the run game looks very mediocre right now. There was always going to be a drop off from Love/Price but right now it looks more like a cliff. Part of it is the OL taking some time to gel since, for whatever reason, the Notre Dame OL never looks great in September, but the backs aren't doing a whole lot of making defenders miss either.

Freshman RBs almost always struggle in pass pro and Denbrock even said this summer that Walton and Osborn weren't there yet in terms of it, but the staff might have to accelerate Walton's development.

I said during the Wisconsin game in the chat that Williams might just be a really good 3rd down back and that is looking more likely.
