Annual Rant: 70 to something blow-outs.

There were a handful of 70 to something blow-outs yesterday. The ND line was -44 and ND was only 2 points short at halftime. Many other games with punishing scores again illustrated a dysfunctional scheduling model.

Totally uncompetitive blow-out scheduling is a sh*ttier element of the FBS system that should go away. I know that every Power team feels that they have to do it to "keep up with the Joneses". But the practice still stinks.

Miami beat Florida A&M 77 - 7. And that was with a 10 minute 4th Qtr mercy rule. Heck, with the money the FBS teams are making now, Miami could have sent Florida A&M $500,000 gratis and played someone competitive instead.

I hope an FBS governance body finally steps in and does something about it across the board.
