Michigan State is not good
There's just going to be a huge talent disparity Sparty won't be able to overcome, much less truly compete with, and watching their opener against Toledo they looked really slow.
So far, they snuck past Toledo and led Eastern Michigan 14-7 at the half before pulling away. And, having watched EMU's first two games (Sac State and San Jose State), I promise they're not good. Sac State is one of the worst FBS teams in the country, but managed to hang around against EMU, and SJSU basically took the first half off, still led and halftime and dominated the final three quarters a week before coming from behind to beat an average FBS team (Cal Poly).
Imagine that MSU led a team like Rice 14-7 at halftime last weekend... Would that worry you?
