What's the point of a sideline reporter anyway?
What breaking news have they ever added to a broadcast? Generic injury reports. Standard generic questions met with standard generic coach speak answers during pre-game, halftime, and post game interviews with coaches. Latest info on the QBs night out with his pals. Maybe a heart tugging story of a player's grandma followed by twenty camera shots of the old gal. How about a quip about a QBs marriage engagement while a long kick off return was in process? That actually happened. I cut Arch a ton of slack. He's a young person. A very young person who knows a good laugh when he sees it.
