Put me in the box with guys who have a deep disdain for celebrations. I am ok with a pat on the back, a helmet butt, or a high five.

But guess what? No matter what you do on the field of play, you will not be the first to do it. And no play wins a game, even for the national title, until the clock hits zero in the fourth quarter. Then it is incumbent to celebrate together. Until then, act like you only have done what you were supposed to do and will do again. It is nothing special nor is it enough until the team wins.

Williams merely inherited the #1 job when the two guys ahead of him left. While he performed well is his backup roles last year, I don't think he is a #1 back.

James, to me anyway, seems better able to exploit the openings that are there while Williams merely pounds away. James also seems to be just as capable a receiver as Williams. We need more zip out of our rbs so I'm guessing Williams is going to be relegated to backup roles.

I would think MF would have had this talk to his team about celebrations before the first game. This signaling a first down after a catch has gotten way out of hand and boring to see. John Carlson was once flagged for doing that against Purdue I believe was the opponent. Now, a team can be down by 50 and the losing team's WR would still signal a first down after his catch. I saw it happen. Now, everybody get off my lawn.
