Remember a year ago when many of the geniuses here were saying Ash sucked and should be fired. Where are the band wagon clowns now? I feel this Irish defense is the best defense in the country.

First of all, you're a punk. Actual facts: He was and is DC, but got demoted after Purdue
(bacause he was killing the team as DC) and didn't call the D for a few games.
As for your uncalled for "Trump" comment, I'm as anti-Trump as they come. Conservative but voted democrat in '16 and '24.

Basic defense to start to see how they play offense, then adjust.

He finally learned
I was critical of him for the first two games, and the first half of the 2025 Purdue game.
He was trying to run just for down linemen rushing, and dropping the remaining seven into coverage.
That strategy worked well at Ohio State, because the defensive line was littered with NFL draft picks.
Our defensive line in 2025 wasn't anywhere nearly that caliber, and we needed to bring a linebacker or defensive back for pressure at times.
Once he started doing that, the defense solidified a lot.
This year, he knows to bring extra pressure as needed, but the important part is that we have a very deep pool of talent all along the defensive line, and his tOSU defense could actually work well.
