Apparently he was better than Ty Proffitt. Proffitt was the kid Brey gave a scholarship to in the spring a couple years ago, who ended up transferring. That's ND recruiting in a nutshell.

I'll give this to Brey, we do have some top-notch walk-ons. If we could match up our two walk-ons against everybody else's, we might have a shot at the Final Four.

Actually, I'm not unconvinced that Kopko would be an improvement over Peoples. I'm reasonably certain he has a better handle.
